Clinical Supervision and Reflective Practice
Clinical Supervision for Psychologists, CBT Psychotherapists and Mental Health Professionals

Who I Supervise
I work with:
- Clinical and Counselling Psychologists
- CBT psychotherapists and psychological practitioners
- Mental health professionals working in NHS, education, charity, and private settings
- Newly qualified therapists to experienced clinicians
I also supervise professionals working with trauma, relational difficulties and clients who hold a Christian faith.
My Approach to Supervision
Supervision with me is calm, containing, and grounded in curiosity rather than criticism. I aim to create a space where you can think openly about your work, feel supported in your clinical decision‑making, and reflect on the emotional impact of the work you do.
Together, we can explore:
- clinical formulation and therapeutic process
- trauma‑informed practice across developmental stages
- maintaining boundaries and compassion in demanding roles
- working with shame, self‑criticism, and relational patterns
- integrating faith sensitively when relevant
- your professional identity, confidence, and wellbeing
My supervision draws on a range of evidence‑based psychological therapeutic and supervision models. Sessions are collaborative and tailored to your experience, context, and goals.
I offer reflective, supportive Clinical Supervision for psychologists, CBT psychotherapists, counsellors, and other mental health professionals. With over 30 years’ NHS experience across the lifespan, I provide a steady, thoughtful space where you can explore your clinical work, think about therapeutic process, and feel grounded in your professional role.
Supervision is collaborative, compassionate, and shaped around what you need, whether that’s developing clinical skills, thinking through complex cases, strengthening reflective practice, or supporting your wellbeing in demanding roles
Supporting Professionals Under Pressure
Having worked in the NHS for decades and as a school governor with insight into the pressures faced by teachers, support staff, and families, I understand the realities of working in systems where demand often outweighs capacity. Supervision can be a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with your values and clinical judgement.
Faith‑Sensitive Supervision
For practitioners working with Christian clients, or who hold Christian faith themselves, I offer supervision that understands the role faith can play in meaning‑making, identity, and emotional experience. You won’t need to explain foundational beliefs; we can integrate faith considerations naturally when relevant.
Professional Standards
I supervise in line with HCPC and BABCP requirements, offering safe, ethical, and accountable practice. I receive regular supervision myself and maintain ongoing CPD to support high‑quality clinical work.
Practicalities
Supervision is available online or face‑to‑face in South Lincolnshire. Sessions can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your needs and professional requirements.
Developing Your CBT Skills After Training
Many therapists come to me because they want to:
- strengthen their CBT formulation skills
- feel more confident applying CBT to real‑life, complex cases
- adjust to the CBT role after years in another profession
- build confidence as newly qualified clinicians
- prepare for BABCP accreditation or re‑accreditation
Supervision is a place to grow your skills, refine your thinking, and develop a therapeutic voice that feels authentic and sustainable.
